"Actually, yes! I come here pretty much every day! So, how about you?" Wow, what a way to just throw such a conversation killer out in the open Frank, he thought to himself. What would they talk about then? Weather? No. Hobbies? To early for that. Job? Hmm, maybe.

She shrugged. "Once or twice~ My parents own a bakery slash coffee place so I always feel like I'm cheating on them when I go to other cafes" she said with a small grin. She set her coffee down and extended her hand out to him. "Noah. What do I call you, ginger or something?" 'Ugh he's cuuuute. Cas if you show up now, I'll hate you!'

"You cousin's gotten to you, I take it?" He smiled back at her before sliding into his seat. "You know it sounds stupid but really, would you want to drink tap water?" He glanced at the sandwiches, wondering what kind they were, before smirking at her. "You don't intend to poison me, do you?"

He shook her hand with a big grin plastered on his face. "You can, as long as you don't say I don't have a soul! Otherwise, I'm Franklin, but feel free to call me Frank, that's what most people do! It's a pleasure to meet you~"

"It would've been surprising if she hadn't, since I'm pretty sure she can eat those things with anything," she let out an amused laugh and seated herself. "And I guess..." she cringed. She'd never tried tap water, but she was pretty sure she wouldn't want to try."...not, but it's still just water in a bottle, so it should be even cheaper."

She rolled her eyes at him, opening the bag. "If we're still on the topic, I don't know if you remember, but poison is expensive. If I had any, I wouldn't waste it on you, considering there's a handful of idiots I'd need it for."

Whoops. She genuinely hoped no passerby had been eavesdropping-- the last thing she needed was to be accused of murder attempt.

She took out a sandwich for herself, and offered the bag with the remaining one to him. "Here. It's just your everyday ham and cheese, and won't do any harm to you unless you're allergic."

"You couldn't really help it if you showed up here, your car broke down here."

"I guess so... I just- don't know what I'm doing... Now I'm rambling again and not making any sense."

He couldn't help but chuckle at her awkwardness. She was so cute, and he was happy that she was here. "You're not rambling.."

"I am..." She sighed and went back to sit on the couch. "I'll stay quiet now though. I can't embarrass myself further that way"

"Nonsense." He smiled, and went to sit down next to her. "You can't embaress yourself around me. Just look at me! I'm a 23 year old man in Spider-Man pjs."

She couldn't help, but to laugh a little bit. "They do suit you though... It's good to know you haven't changed."

"Or maybe you could just give me a call sometime, and we can go get some of this so-called 'real' food" Laine couldn't help but giggling, and even used air quotes when saying 'real'. People should visit her at work more often! This was fun

"You'd be surprised how many people would argue with that." He laughed.

"Argue about your pajamas, or...?" she smiled "You still seem like the boy pulling a wagon full of comics to me"

Gil hesitated to answer... He was almost certain that wouldn't be a good idea. If his superiors caught wind that he was spending a good deal of time with a known prostitute, things would end poorly. He would be suspended... Or worse, and he was unsure what might happen to Laine. "Yeah... Maybe" he forced a smile.

"Oh, god you still remember that?" Her had a nervous smile on his face. "Man, I was pathetic back then."

That... wasn't a particularly reassuring answer. But, Laine refused to let it ruin their conversation! "Well, I'm always available... Increasingly more over the years."

Noah couldn't help but laugh as she shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, soul boy." She casually leaned back. "So Frank, since you're familiar with this place, what are the good coffees? I keep getting the same old same old. I'm afraid I'll get something that isn't so good" she said before nodding at his cup. "So what kind did you get~?"

"Oh thank you for not poisoning me. -But should I feel offended or flattered? -And no I'm not." he said with a small amused grin as he took the bag from her. He had lied though, oh well. He was technically lactose intolerant, but he found he rarely got sick and doubted he would from such a small amount of cheese. He pulled the sandwich out and took a small bite, brows raising a bit. "It's good. I like it."

(this was awful omfg)

"I'll keep that in mind" he nodded "Unfortunately, I'm not... Well, not for meal dates at least. I work a lot right now, but don't hesitate to call if you need something"

"No, it was sweet and very endearing... And I never would have gotten those things home if you hadn't of jumped up and offered your help"

"Oh, I won't-don't worry about that. I'm a lot of things, but timid is not one of them" She glanced at her watch and bit her lip. Geeze... fifteen minutes sure passed fast. "I think I have to go in a minute, though... I'm really sorry"

Gil shook his head "No, it's okay... Don't worry about it. I have to get back to the station soon anyhow"

"I was just trying to be nice." He admited. "To a very pretty girl~"

Kelti's face flushed a bit despite herself. she pushed her hair out of her face again (it was getting poofy and unmanageable now that it was drying) I was just happy an incredibly handsome, kind, good hearted boy offered to help me... She said, a hint of bashfulness in her voice.

She rolled her eyes, taking a generous bite of her own sandwich and chewing. Once she swallowed, she replied: "Flattered, of course. It means I like you enough so you wouldn't be in my top ten persons I'd like to poison."

She tried not to let on that she'd watched his reaction carefully as he bit into the sandwich, mentally crossing her fingers for a good reaction.

"Of course it's good. Did you think I'd deliberately make myself something awful to eat?"

With that, she took another bite from the sandwich and started chewing. Now, if only she would figure out how to make something other than sandwiches, things would be perfect.

Dilyn smiled. "You're still the same sweet girl from when we were teens."

"Honestly, I wish I could say something fancy, but it's just plain coffee with milk! I guess I should try something slightly more exotic, but when I've done that, the workers have just looked oddly at me, like I was asking for Justin Bieber tickets! Apparently, fancy coffee is more of a girls' thing, so I just go for the plain thing," he chuckled. "I could have made it myself, if I didn't have such a God awful relationship with my coffee machine!"

“Then…” She grinned as she stood, retrieving her purse. “I’ll call you soon!” Laine blew him a quick kiss, and then headed for the ‘Employees Only’ door that led back to another day of grease, sweat, and toil.
