FUTURE RP 4

Salvatore was entirely too concerned with the taste of all this baby food.

As soon as his Mama mentioned making and canning his own, he'd decided it would have to be perfect. All of the parenting and childcare books Weisis had bought mentioned what sorts of foods would be good for baby, so Salvatore had made it his mission to mix them together until he made a food that tasted good-even to grown ups! At the moment, he was taste testing one of the mixtures. It wasn't bad... Not good, obviously, but not bad. It tasted like applesauce and butter.

Damaris gripped on to Bryce's hand. Visiting her grandma always made her feel uneasy, mainly because the beeping of the machines made her so nervous. But then again, hospitals in general made her feel uneasy and nervous, asides the countless amounts of time she's been in one during her teenage years. Being in the same place where people've died...it sent shivers down her spine. She'd already signed in the visitor sheet, both her and Bryce, and she was making her way to her room. "...God coming here gives me the heebeejeebeez."

The patients freaked Bryce out more than the actual place, but he wasn't very well going to say that allowed. "Just... Think about seeing your grandma, okay?"

Weisis was sitting on the couch reading yet another parenting book. She approached the pregnancy much how she approached her schooling, 'if you study, things cannot go wrong', or so she hoped. She placed her book on the back of the couch and repositioned the headphones she had sitting on her belly. Just because she was tired of Bach didn't mean the baby was. One of the books she'd read said it'd boost brain activity.

Damaris nodded. "..Thanks for coming..I know how you don't like the hospital." She looked up at him. "It means alot."

"I know you don't like it here either, so why would I ever make you come alone?"

"Right.." as they got closer to her room, Damaris' grip got tighter. "I love you."

Bryce rubbed the back of Damaris' hand with his thumb and leaned over to kiss the top of her head. "I love you too, but I think I'm gonna lose circulation in my hand soon"

She blinked, and smiled weakly when she loosened her grip. "Sorry..."

Sally was far from finished in the kitchen, but he'd been in there all morning, and wanted to avoid doing dishes for a bit. So, he went to sit with Weisis. He smiled, putting an arm around her and kissing her cheek. It had only taken a few months before he could actually look her in the eye again, and now... Now it actually wasn't bothering him so much.

"No it's okay... Just thought I'd remind you... Kind of need these hands for painting... And other things ya know" he smirked

She smiled and glanced over at him "Finished with the baby food already?"

Damaris smiled a little and shook her head. "Other things? I wonder what the could be."

(..Bryce is that an innuendo I smell?)

"Not even close. But, I thought I'd better let things sit for a while before I made any more messes."

(Either that or a girl and a boy xD Because Helen would flat out refuse to split up siblings. Probably just a girl though ^^)

"Oh you know... I have to open doors, and eat, and brush my teeth. You know, the important stuff" his smirk broadened

"I take it I should stay out of the kitchen then?" She raised a brow and rested her head on his shoulder. "At least I know the floor isn't messy with the pig about.

Byron backed the car into the yard, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the babies were still sleeping and content. He'd been iffy about adopting two, but Helen hadn't wanted to split up the siblings... And, he had to admit, even though it was going to be a lot of work, they were both pretty cute. "Alright, as soon as we get the kids in the house and settled, I have to go pick up Rowan. I promised her she could come over right away."

She smiled, and squeezed his hand again before stepping in the hospital room. "Whatever~"
Yoland(idk I made it up uwu) sat up in her hospital bed, a small cossword puzzle book in one hand, a pen in the other, and reading glasses resting at the tip of her nose. She was hook up to all the machines, all the gross, beeping monsters somehow keepin her alive, and it terrified Damaris. She looked up, and smiled immediately, putting her book down. "Bueno, what a nice surprise to have the two of you aqui conmigo." (sucky Spanglish ftw~ uwu)

"Well, at least Pig will be a good test taster~"

Helen was so excited she could hardly stand it! She had been waiting so long for this moment-for her little babies to finally come home. She had scarcely taken her eyes off of them since they'd been picked up. At the moment, she was turned around in her seat grinning at the kids-her kids. "Okay, but hurry! I don't want either of you to miss a second of this"

"Or a very bad one, considering he'll eat most things even if they don't taste good." She stretched again and pecked him on the cheek. "How many bottles do you plan on making? We still have plenty of time before the baby's born and plenty of time until they're big enough to eat baby food"

Bryce only got about half of what she said, so he just nodded and smiled, looking at Damaris to help him through the conversation. God, even now he still found this tiny old lady terrifying.

"It's a fifteen minute drive, we'll be back in no time... Besides, I doubt they're going to start walking or talking within that time, so I think we're good~"

"I'm only making samples... To make sure it tastes good before serving it up to our baby"

"Oh, but they'll wake up, and crawl around and-and-" she took his hand, holding it as tightly as she could against her chest-over her heart. "Oh, god, they're so beautiful"

And this was right about the time when Damaris decides to abandon her beloved boyfriend and speak Spanish. (JUST PRETEND THIS IS ALL SPANISH WRITING.) "Grandma, you look a lot better than last week." She dropped his hand to walk over to her grandmother's side. Yolanda reached for her hand and kissed it. "Well, I've been feeling a lot better than before. I see he's come back to visit me with you...do I still scare him?"
"..More than I'd like to admit."
"..Tell him to grow a pair!" They both looked over at him, and exchanged a giggle.

Bryce stood awkwardly in the middle of the hospital room, unsure of what to do. He looked over at Damaris and Yolanda and laughed a bit awkwardly... Unsure if he was supposed to join in on the giggling or not.

"I've never tasted anything that you've made that's tasted bad... I'm sure the baby will be thrilled with whatever you make"

Byron took the keys out of the ignition and smiled at Helen, then leaned over to kiss her cheek. "Then, you should film the exciting crawling, and I'll see what I missed when I get back"

"Maybe... i havent tried making health food before though"

She wouldn't let him get away so easily, though! Helen cupped his cheeks and drew him close enough for a proper kiss on the lips. "Well, help me get them out of the car first. I can hardly carry the poor dears!" That was an overstatement, but just barely. It wouldn't be long before the kids were bigger than Helen herself!

"Tell him he looks nervous." She said, continuing the Spanish. Damaris nodded, and looked over at him. "Grandma says you look nervous." She smiled.

"Oh I'm not! Trust me! I'm just... I'm just peachy~" Bryce smiled awkwardly and rubbed his arm.

"Please tell me you won't turn into my parents" she smirked "I think I've had my share of organic, glutan free bread for a life time, and I'll bet the baby will feel the same"

"Don't worry, I'll come in for a minute. I need to stretch my legs... Tall people problems"

"Not for his entire life-I can hardly stomach the things you eat, sometimes. He-or she-will grow up with the same things I grew up eating. The books just said to feed the baby a lot of nutrient rich things while he's, well, a baby."

"And you also want to see your babies~ Don't deny it" Helen gave him one more kiss, then finally unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

"Hey! I don't eat that badly... And I certainly don't eat the things my parents used to make me eat any more. Besides, all I've been craving are foods I don't like for the past few months. I think this baby's going to have your appetite"

Byron followed. "I could see them just fine in the rearview mirror on the way here~ maybe I want to enjoy my last hour of being a part time parent~" that was a joke, albeit a bad one. He really did wish he got to see Rowan more.
