Future RP Part Two: Something Bad

It was some time after the fight between Bryce and Sally, and Salvatore was getting regular business again. At the moment, he was shooing out a few giggly teenage girls that were making him incredibly uncomfortable. Not to mention Weisis kept glaring at them.

Leo, on the other hand, was pulling up to Damaris' house. He was having a great day! He'd just finished putting together the last of their lesson plans, and wanted to get a copy to Damaris. She could look them over, and they could talk later. He parked on the curb-not like he'd be there long-and walked up to the door. He fixed his hair, checked the folder one last time, and knocked on the door.

Weisis' hand had finally began to heal up nicely and therefore, she was in a good mood. She was leaning against the Deli counter, minding the till. She liked it better than actually being in the kitchen. Now that Sally had gotten rid of those obnoxious teenagers, (which Weisis was thankful for. She was nearly positive they were speaking about Sally's butt.) things had quieted down significantly.

Teagan walked into the Deli, looking fairly unkempt and tired. It was a fierce contrast to his normally pristine appearance. He was wearing sweatpants... Something was wrong. Seriously wrong. Rather than going up to the counter, he simply plopped himself down at an empty table and put his head in his hands.

Theo groaned. He ached everywhere... And not in a good way. He'd taken the same risk time after time and it had never gone wrong for him. Now that it finally had, he didn't know what to make of it. He just thanked god that Damaris had actually gone to pick him up, and let him crash at her house. He was worried she wouldn't speak to him again after their last encounter... Either that or she'd have heard what happened with Teagan and boycotted their friendship because of that. Regardless, he still felt terrible. He was scared to even look in the mirror to see how bruised he actually was.

He heard the knock at the door and opted not to get up... The last time he'd answered the door here, things had gone badly... But, when Damaris seemed to be busy, he stood with a wince and headed to the door. He opened it and his heart sank. "... Hi"

Damaris sat at the kitchen table planning for her student for the following day. Leo was supposed to come over earlier, but he was a no-show, as far as she was concerned. She'd just have to call him later and tell him to fax it over.
On another hand, she was glad he didn't come. Because Theo was here, broken, and bruised and achey. Honestly, she thought she had every right not to pick him up after what happened last time they were together, but Theo was a friend, and he needed someone there for him. She thought maybe after she was done with her part of the planning she'd change his bandaids again, and maybe even feed him. If he was so lucky. She was so busy typing, and planning, she didn't even hear the door.

Sally was on his way back to the counter when he noticed Teagan. Wasn't he Weisis' friend...? He checked to see how many customers he had at the counter. Luckily, there was no one, so he stopped by Teagan's table on his way back. Rather than say something like a normal human being, he just cleared his throat.

It took Leo a moment to realize who it was. At first, he was concerned. After all, here was Theo, beaten and bruised! He'd been in love with this man. It was only natural to feel sympathy. "Oh, my god, Theo I..." He reached out to touch Theo's face, but he pulled away at the last minute. "W-what are you doing here?"

The taking from the kitchen stopped. Damaris had heard voices. "...Theo? Who's at the door?"

Teagan glanced up "Oh, I'm sorry, I know I'm loitering. I'll order in a moment, I assure you"

He felt sick to his stomach. There was a very good reason Theo'd spent the past several years avoiding places he might run into Leo. He'd been doing a pretty good job of it up until this point. "I'm- I'm visiting my friend. Is that not allowed?... I can leave..."

"No, it's fine, I just... Are you... okay?"

"Your friend..." He folded his arms, raising a brow. "Then why are you running around half naked?

Damaris got up very slowly, and listened in. Was that...was that Leo? "..Oh, crap." She poked her head out from the kitchen, and bit her lip. "Leonello?"

Teagan sighed "no, not really. I can't imagine things getting much worse actually." (should Weisis go over or stay at the counter xD I think it's weird that she's not like doing anything considering that he's supposed to be her friend)

"Because I spent 'da night here if you must know... On 'da couch"

(Up to you c: What do you think she'd do?)

"Do you... Wanna talk, or... Maybe I should get you some coffee."

"Then why are you all beat up? Damaris?" Leo slid past Theo and stormed into the house. "Damaris, what is he doing here?"

Damaris answered, almost a little too quickly, "He called me. He..uh..got..hurt, pretty badly, obviously. I went to go pick him up, and I let him stay for a few days..he had no where else to go." She didn't like seeing Leo sad. To be honest, he scared her when he was.

(she'd probably go over xD)

"I- I don't want to burden anyone. It's fine" He ran a hand through his hair. Weisis had only just realised who Sally was talking to and quickly walked over

"What happened? You look horrible."

"I don't want to be a both-"

"Teagan, just tell us what happened."

"I left Phoebe..."

"I met someone in a bar and they beat 'da shit out of me..." Theo added. Not that he thought it'd help. He just wanted to clarify what exactly happened before Damaris had picked him up.

"Your... fiancee?" he looked to Weisis to make sure he was right. "Why? What happened?"

"Well, maybe now you'll learn to keep it in your pants once in a while."

"Leo, please." She frowned. "He's had a rough week..." She leaned in and muttered, "I don't think you piling on is gonna make anything better."

Against his better judgement, he had to ask. "... How rough?"

"...Rougher than me.."

"A friend from highschool was staying with us... First she accused me of sleeping with him and then I came home from work and he was in our bed..."

"That's... Horrible. I'm sorry"

Theo was being much quieter than he normally was "what does it matter? You two clearly 'ave some work to do. I'll-I'll find another place to stay"

"But, I thought your fiancé was crazy.. About you, that is"

"No, I... I just came by to drop this off." He held out the folder to Damaris, careful to avoid looking at Theo. he wasn't sure if he was mad, or sad, or if he felt sympathy for his former lover. Whatever he felt was frighteningly sudden and overwhelmingly painful, though.

"No, Theo. You are my guest, and you're allowed to stay as long as I allow. Please, just..go lay down and sleep..I'll chance your bandaids later."she looked at Leo, and made a face. "Mi amorphous, you should stay a little while...we can plan some more."

"She's- I don't know what she is, but she's out of my life... and this friend. Every time I try to help him, it- excuse my language, comes back to bite me in the ass. I just don't know what I'm going to do now"

"Who was it?... That's not prying, is it?"

"Well, I'd rather not name names... Even if he deserves it. I'm sure if it wasn't him, it would have been someone else"

"You should stay... You won't 'ear a peep from me, I promise. You can go back to forgettin' I exist"

"No. No, that is just a horrible friend. And obviously not the best fiancée either." What Teagan needed was coffee cake, and Sally was SURE he had some. He checked back to the counter, and noticed a few customers eyeing him and waiting for service. "... One second. I need someone to watch the counter." And he was off to grab the nearest employee (he had hired extras now that Weisis was home, in case he wanted to spend time with her).

"I didn't forget..." He glanced at Theo out of the corner of his eye, then back to Damaris. "I... I'm sorry. Can we just go sit? This shouldn't take long."

"Yes, of course." She lead him into the kitchen. "I was thinking we could teach the kids about butterflies."

Leo stole one more glance at Theo, then he followed Damaris into the kitchen. "Yeah... Actually, I have an art project that could go really well with that"

"I can't say anything bad about Phoebe... I love her, or at least I thought that I did."

"I wish 'dat you did..." he muttered. Theo couldn't look Leo in the eye, even after all this time.

Damaris nodded. "I thought maybe we could take them out to the butterfly garden downtown and have them design their own bitterly wings on actual plastic wings thy could wear, wouldn't that be so cute?"
