Yolanda smiled a shook her head. "You're not lying to me?"

"Not at all... I'm a truthful guy" finally, he walked over beside Damaris and sat down.

"A very good thing in my opinion, and I'm sure Mama will agree." He kissed her again, then, slowly and cautiously, reached out to touch her stomach. He wasn't really a big fan of the whole 'Oh, let's talk to baby in the womb' thing, but he was adjusting... all too late. "So, it's almost time... Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"Oh, please~ You'll still be a part time parent to one of your babies"

Damaris rested her head on Bryce's shoulder as her grandmother smiled at Bryce. "How have you been, mijo?" She was now careful in her choice of words, making sure Bryce can understand her.

She smiled and nodded. Not that it'd matter if she wasn't. It was still him going to happen either way, but she wasn't about to say that to Sally. She wouldn't want to worry him. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be, besides, we've prepared plenty. It will be fine"

"No, I'm sure Rowan will be over here every chance she gets now playing with the little buggers" he smirked.

Bryce reached for Mari's hand,but chickened out. He felt weird holding hands in front of her grandma.

"We've been fine, Grandma." She took Yolanda's hand, and squeezed it gently.

"And you know I'll be there, right? I'll be right there with you." Even though it would be bloody, and he knew he would pass out.

"All the better! Oh, god, I hope she likes them"

"Yep" Bryce nodded curtly "peachy, just like I said"

"I know" she kissed him and smiled, hesitating with what she was about to say. "And if you feel nauseous at all, just look at my face, okay?"

"I'll bet she will. She likes cute things"

Her grandmother frowned. "No..news you want to share?"

He didn't respond for a moment, then he slowly shook his head. "Yes... And you can hold my hand as tightly as you need to. That, at least, I know I won't pass out from."

"And they are cute~" She slowly opened the car door, being extra careful to be quiet and not wake the babies. "Byron, can you help me get them out?" she whispered, already unbuckling the car seat.

She reached for his hand and kissed it. "You'll be fine, I know you will. Everything will go smoothly"

"Nothing I can really think of right now..."

Byron got out and walked around the side of the car to help Helen. He started on the other car seat, fumbling a bit. "Do they try and make these purposely difficult to undo?"

Damaris shook her head.
"..oh." She pouted.
"..Grandma, we're you expecting something?"

"'Going smoothly' is still pretty terrifying..."

"Yeah, actually. Otherwise they could come loose, or some other kid in the car could unattach it, or the babies could accidentally..." She shivered at the thought, then reached in and tried to get a good grip on the seat. They could just bring them in.

"But, it'll be worth it in the end" she closed her eyes and snuggled up more closely to him.

"That does make sense, but there's also the worry that parents will just get fed up and leave them in the car"

Bryce just twiddled his thumbs awkwardly and stare at the floor.

That seemed to calm his nerves somewhat and his smile returned. "Then I'm glad we finally decided to do this"

"Oh, you wouldn't dare!" She was still managing to whisper, so very careful not to wake the babies. Finally, she'd unhooked her daughter's car seat and was lifting it out of the car. "Honey, can you get the door? I don't think I can"

"Me too. I was unsure at first, but I really am happy now that we're doing this"

Byron smirked, doing the same with the baby boy. "Sure, but can you imagine the social worker's face if she heard me saying that?"

"Even with that... Unpleasant start."

"I'm sure it'd be quite the shock... But, we both know you're joking"

"But we dealt with it... And it's nothing we have to do again anytime soon... Besides, it could get better in time." She was mostly just relieved that she'd gotten pregnant quickly enough.

"Of course" he reached forward to get the door for Helen with his free arm. "What kind of monster do you take me for?"

"Hopefully... So long as we don't follow any of Otheo's advice." He shuddered. God, it was horrifying thinking that... That was his little brother's boyfriend.

"A very strong monster?" She smirked and reached for his hand. All the exercise she and Byron had been doing together paid off somewhat. At least she could carry her babies.

"Oh god no... I don't even want to think about the things he said!" She made a face

"Well, I suppose that's better than being called a hairy beast."

She just raised her hands in an "I don't know!" motion. "Usually you two come with news~" u3u

He blinked and cleared his throat "sorry to disappoint you?"

"That's okay~" but she continued frowning.
Damaris laughed a little. "Grandma, you're so weird."
"I am not weird!" She paused a little before mumbling something in Spanish. "Whatever the hell that means." Which earned her a small poke on her forehead from Damaris.
"You can't talk like that here, we are in a public place"

Bryce looked clueless, not even sure he wanted to know what she had said "uhh the weather's been nice..."

"Especially the pinky... That just sounds painful."
