"I think I'll get sick either way. My stomach isn't being very cooperative."

"That's weird.."

"I told you I wasn't feeling the best..."

"No, I'm just wondering why. I mean, all you did was get punched in the face and shoved."

"Well, there isn't much to be optimistic about at the moment..."

He smiled, finally, and held her hand. "Alright, I'll get some ready. What do you want?"

"I certainly feel more hopeful than I did a few days ago"

She thought for a moment "I like cucumber sandwiches." (The most plain sandwich in existence... Good job Weisis)

"I didn't sleep well... It might have been the lingering disgusting smell of that prison mattress."

"Oh, you poor baby."

"I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but if I caught something, you're gonna get it to because I just kissed you"

She thought for a while before leaning in and kissing him again. "Worth it."

"But, things still aren't good between the two of us... I mean god. She wants us to spend time together and talk, but I don't even know where to start."

"Cucumber it is, then." He leaned over to kiss her cheek, for good measure, then he stood and walked to the refrigerator.

"I think things are significantly better than they'd been in a long time... It's not going to be fixed over night."

Bryce smirked and then winced "whoa careful, lip remember?"

She smiled and went to get changed. Then, she gather a few things and something to carry the food in.

"I suppose not... Still, we're not even half way"

Sally gathered all the necessaries, then started cutting cucumbers and making sandwiches.

She sucked air through her teeth, and leaned in again to kiss the spilt part of his lip as gently as possible. "There, better?"

"A little bit...~"

"and we won't ever be with that attitude~"

Weisis came back into the kitchen to watch Sally make the sandwiches because she can

She giggled, and continued to place small kisses on his lips and face. "Here~ Kisses to make you better~"

"Well... The day is young. If you're gonna be so optimistic, then maybe you have some idea of what we should do? Something to reconnect, like the therapist said to."

Sally finished up making a few for Weisis, then started to make something for himself. While spreading a homemade olive butter mix on the bread, he accidentally got some on his hand. He wiped it onto a finger and was just about to suck it off when he got a better idea, and dabbed it the tip of Weisis' nose.

"What would you like to do? We could go to the park... Or the beach or something. I don't know"

"I guess I won't need those painkillers then"

She wrinkled her nose. "Hey!"

"Oh no, you'll still need them, just in case~"

"It's a bit too cold for the beach... But we should go sometime. You know I love the beach"

"You've got a little something," he smirked, gesturing towards her face. "You really should be more careful"

"I don't mind it aside from the sand... But, we wouldn't have to swim... The water would still be pretty"

She was trying very hard not to smile. She stood and shoved him a bit, although not a malicious manner. "...You're a jerk"

"I would rather be safe than sorry~"

"True... We never did take that moonlit walk on the sand we talked about. On our first date? We can take a gloomy fall walk on the beach, instead."

"And you're perfectly seasoned. You should be thanking me~"

She smiled, and took his hand. "Let's go~"

"sounds good enough to me... At least we'll be sure to have the whole beach to ourselves~ ... Are you dressed warm enough?"

She pouted and wiped the olive butter from her nose. Then she cocked her head, and with a little smirk, she reached up and put it on Sally's nose.

Bryce smiled and let her lead him like a lost puppy.

"Grandma will be glad to hear your back, she's missed you." She smiled weakly. "She was wondering when you would come back into the picture."
