She shrugged, "I guess. I've been trying out for bit parts in a couple movies, but no luck yet. Which is why I'm so glad you showed up today~ We should hang out whenever you get off work"

"I'm sure you'll get something soon, you have it in you. Not to be a dick, but just look at all of the talent-less people in the industry lately. Life isn't fair", he said with a roll of his eyes. "Sure, I've been bored out of my mind. Where do you feel like going?" He glanced up at the clock. "Shift's over. Where the hell is my replacement?"

She shrugs, "Well, I've gotta eat, so you should, like... come and sit with me while you wait~" Manda checks her phone again-no callbacks or messages. "Looks like I'm all yours today~"

"Fine, I guess. I think I've got a good chance at a shoe store." She shrugged. "And it's fine, I don't mind if you rant or whatever." She smiled at him a little. "It's what Moirails are for."

Nick pursed his lips and began to nod his head before shaking it and sucking his teeth. "Yeah, I still have NO idea what that means. It's from that thing, right? Housestuck or something?"

He removed his apron and moved around the counter, sitting down with a grin. "Oh goody. Lucky me." He glanced over to where Nick and Silas had been sulking and grinned at seeing the situation was over. "Aaand it looks like you're stuck with me now~"

"Yes you did," Carter called back at her. "I wouldn't have done such a piss poor job. 'Sides," he pointed at the fingerprints. "These are way too small to be mine, Jane. So unless there's an invisible third person lurking around, it would seem it's all your fault."

He shrugged, rubbing clean the rest of the jug and putting it next to the others. "Also, if you're putting any more straws on display, I swear I'm going to show them in the back of your skirt when you're not looking."

"Oh, poor me, what EVER will I do~?" She chuckled, still scrolling through her phone. When she finally looked up, she raised a brow. "So? What now? Apparently you're rollin' in babes, so no need to go looking for more"

"Housestuck? You're kidding me right?" She smirked. "You're not even trying, it's Homestuck. And Moirails are like..." she thought for a while before nodding her head slowly. "Platonic life partners. One of them keeps the other from killing someone, basically. Like how I stop you from pratically murdering everyone that gives you a dirty look."

"Weeell I've got a date tonight. Some little rich girl that was acting all high and mighty because she was treating her friends to sushi." he snorted a bit and shrugged. "Whatever, she was cute. -But I have literally NOTHING nice to wear. So you should like, lend my any fashion skills you have and come with me to the store."

"I don't nearly murder anyone that just gives me a look -3-.... They have to really piss me off." he grumbled. He gave her a slightly suspicious look before speaking again. "So 'moirails' don't lie to each other, right? ...How are things with your dad?"

Silas slowed his pace a bit as he window shopped. Now just what could he spend a good amount of his father's money on...? He was a lot of things but not backstabber, especially towards his own father... but he planned on making the high-and-mighty bastard pay a bit for making him waste some of his life on the little cockroach he was forced to call his 'step-brother'. He smirked a bit as he got an idea and turned into a children's store, one of those his mother had liked where you can make your own stuffed-animal. Upon entering, he raised a brow at the brightly colored store. He was going to be sick.

"The hell are you talking about?! You so do almost kill people for giving you dirty looks." She was quiet for a while when he asked her. She didn't know how to respond. 'Dad doesn't look at me'? 'He hates my guts and doesn't want me?' "...Like how things normally are."

"Well, I have been out shopping all day... But, as your honorary wing-woman, I think I could give you a hand." She grabbed a few napkins and put what was left of her sushi on them before gathering up her bags. "So, snooty rich girl. Tell me more"

"Well dirty looks usually mean they're going to do something, don't they!? And I usually just glare back until they actually do, and I've gotta defend myself, don't I??"
He paused for a moment before nodding, he wasn't one to pry. "...Sorry."

"Oh thank you for your oh-so-noble sacrifice, darling~." He stood and gave a nod to his replacement before turning back to her. "Blonde, great rack, obviously just looking for a one night stand from the way she was talking." He shrugged. "My lucky day, no?"

"Not all the time! I always give you a dirty look. Literally all the time." She sighed and shook her head. "Nah, it's cool..." She looked up at him. "He tried throwing Booga into the fireplace again, though. That's why he's with me today."

"Meh, maybe... but she could be a slut who's gonna give you AIDs." She shrugged. "I'd double-pack the condoms. Just my personal suggestion. As for clothes, I'm thinking classy-casual. Casual enough to where you both know this isn't going anywhere, but class enough to make her think 'wow, this was totally worth it'."

"Yeah but it's different with you. You're tiny and not that threatening -3-" he teased. His eyes narrowed a bit. "The piece of shit! " At realizing what he had just said about her own father, he quickly began to apologize. Although the last one sounded a lot like 'I'm sorry that I'm not sorry...' (xD)

"You know I'm careful about those things, don't worry so much~ I know you'd be devastated if anything happened so I'll take my precautions." He nodded and agreed with her suggestion as they walked. "Just direct me to a store you have in mind, I'm a man. I don't know these things :I "(lies).

"Yeah, you're a man. That's why you constantly need my help to get laid" Nevertheless, she continued to smirk, and started walking away from the sushi place. Every once in a while she'd take a bite of her food, but she was also looking for some place not too expensive to get some clothes for Annie's hot date. "So what's the budget?"

She smiled a little, before reaching out and ruffling his hair. "Nah man, it's cool...and for your information, I am too threatning!"

He smirked "Great men make sure they can get greater help, which is what makes them so great~. Now no need to get catty just because I've got a date and you don't seem to have plans for tonight yet. "
"Well if we're talking MY budget then we're looking at just a little above shit. Nah but seriously, nothing too expensive. I'm not spending 70 dollars on a shirt. My limit is like 45 for those things, and that's a bit of a stretch." He turned his head to look at her, an attempt at a puppy dog pout on his face. "Unless a wooonderful and gorgeous young lady was willing to help me out~?" he joked.

He playfully rolled his eyes and swatted her hand away before getting up. "You wanna get out of here or something? I don't want to spend another second here. It still reeks of asshole. BI "

"Taunt me about not having a date, then ask for money. Tut-tut!~ Don't you know the only way to get money from me is sexual favors or comparisons to great silent film actresses?" She continued to smirk for a moment, then her smile faltered ever so slightly. "Besides which, I do have plans..."

"Sure!..But I'm really hungry." She pouted. "You should buy me a cookie or something."

"Oh shut up, you know we all think you're a hotter actress than that Pola Negri woman~." Not noticing her smile falter, he raised his brows a bit and smiled. "Oh yeah?? Oh come on who is it tell me, someone I know?" He feigned annoyance. " Just why haven't you mentioned anything, so rude."

He glared at her a bit before sighing and letting his head drop. He was going to cave in eventually, might as well skip the usual song and dance to save him the energy. "Come on then, I guess I'm hungry too. -But not for this fish crap."

"I like sushi.." she glared a little. "But you're paying for the meal, so I guess I can deal~"

"Well... I kinda... ran into Robbie today." She cleared her throat and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. Were they not in public, she'd tell Annie everything about how upset she was, or how worried... But they were, and Manda didn't like getting too emotional where literally everyone could see. They had no business in her personal life.

"Hey. Don't worry. I'm sure it's going to go fine." he said slowly in a calm yet reasurring tone. "... Just what did she say when you saw her?" He wasn't an idiot, he could see she was feeling uneasy about the situation. -But of course she wasn't one to get all touchy feely with people around, neither was he. He might as well get her to talk a bit though?

"Of course you would like that nasty stuff. But yes I'm paying so we're going to get some real food." He looked around the food court, scrunching up his face a bit when he saw places that he didn't like before he brightened at seeing a subway. "A foot long! They've got cookies too, right??"

Victoria groaned softly to herself. Why was this thing so popular? Why did people not just go to buy a regular plush bear from a regular shop and spare everyone the trouble?
But she did need the money from this job so she'd stop bother her uncle by borrowing money...

She refrained from giving the customers the evil eye, and instead focused on maintaining a cool,indifferent facade that was slightly broken by the subtle twitch in her jaw and under her left eye. God gave some people no brains and let them have children, too.

In the mass of stupid people and children, she noticed a new client had came in-- a guy, alone, and way out of the usual demographic. Was it too much to hope he'd done this before and would require the minimum amount of assistance?
