Something clicked inside her brain. She punched her fist into her open palm as it occurred to her. "Oh, like Cedric Diggory." Then, she gave him an apologetic look. "Sorry, I used to be a die-hard fan of those books. Then I got into cooking books." Her eyebrows shot up at the mention of cooking, as she'd remembered something. "Hey, do you like chocolate chip and cinnamon cookies?"

Damaris was putting on her helmet when-surprise!-the fuse went out. She let out a loud sherik, and covered her eyes, because that was going to do so much help. "Okay, okay, okay, Mari..be cool..it's just the dark...the awful..crule..scary dark..." She whimpered, and quickly got her phone out to dial Leo. ASAP.

Cole sat in the back section of the bookstore where no one really ventured on to. This was a nice haven, a safe place for her to be herself, and finally get that stupid frumpy Prince(ss) of Heart sweater that was too hot to wear in the middle of summer (she knew she was gonna put it back on soon, seeing as though the bookstore was cold as all hell, so she placed it neatly beside her. Thanks air conditioning!) Her nose was stuck in an old, dusty book on fairytales, you know, the original Brothers Grimm fairytales. "...There were once a man and a woman who had long in vain wished for a child..." she read quietly, admiring the writing more than the actual words.

Leo was, of course, at home trying to help clean up after dinner. When his phone went off, it was Salvatore who brought it to him and held it up to his ear while Leo, himself, washed dishes. "Uh, hey, Mari. What's up?"

No one aside from, of course, the employees. So there was Georgie, tottering back to the dustiest, dankest part of the store with a cart full of books to restock with. She hardly noticed Cole-in fact, she rarely noticed any customers, if she could avoid it.

Damaris was weezing by the time Leo got to the phone. "Leo, please come to my place? Please? Please, for the love of God, my lights went out and I-i'm terrified I can't move."

Cole continued reading her book before glancing up. Gorgie, as read on her nametag, was cleaning, as she usually was when Cole was here. She always saw her cleaning her. Which is why she always came here. She began working up the courage to talk to the girl the moment she saw her, but Cole, being a pathetic girl, couldn't do it.

"Uh, alright, one sec, I'll be right there... If I can get someone to do the dishes~?" Leo looked up at his older brother, pouting. Sally sighed, but nodded, and Leo smirked as he wiped off his hands. "Okay, leaving right now."

Georgie put away a few books then, finding one that looked interesting, flipped through it. She read about three pages in the time it would take most people to read one page, then raised a brow and put the book at the end of the cart. With the other twenty-some books she was going to buy when she got paid at the end of the day.

Damaris nodded, but upon realizing that Leo couldn't see her, she said, "O-okay..just come as soon as you can..there's a ladder, at my window, in the back of the house, just come up that." she unlocked the window. "Just come through it."

"...You..only read three pages of that..in...a minute..." she said. Oh my god, she really spoke to her? And said that?!

George was equally surprised. The customers never talked to her-it was why she usually volunteered to restock the least populated part of the store. She strongly disliked talking to people face-to-face. What if she said something wrong? But, putting on her best 'advertiser smile', she turned and tucked another book into a random place on the shelf. "Uh... Just skimming, actually. Gotta know where to put the thing, y'know?"

"Oh, stop being such a little whimp, hurry up I'm in a middle of a panic attack here!"

"Oh..uh..yeah.." She looked down. "I guess so..." Oh god, oh god, stop talking to her, she thinks you're a freak.

"Okay, okay..." he ducked out of the house, trusting Salvatore to tell their mother what was up, and started towards the beat up old car. "But, just because I'm scaling your balcony does NOT mean this Romeo is gonna make you his Juliet."

"So, um..." She brushed a few stray locks of hair behind her ear and held the book in her hand against her chest. "Are you... finding everything alright?"

Damaris smirked. "We can always be the platonic Romeo and Juliet. On second though, you can be Romeo and I can be Benvollio..in a girl's body...but I don't think that matters because they're related." Damaris eyed the door, frowning a little at thought thought of someone being out there.

"Oh..uh..yeah..." she smiled, but not so much so Gorgie could see her ugly-as-all-fuck bucktheeth. "I've..been looking for this book all week."

"But Benvollio dies... Is that another death threat I'm hearing?"

Still feeling eyes on her, Georgie tried to get back to work. At length, however, she glanced over at Cole and raised a brow. "Um... you're sure I can't help you with anything?"

"I swear I'm going to hang up on you and not let you in!"
