Ken turned around around to search for the ball and boy, was it easier to find than he'd thought. All of a sudden, it came flying at him at top speed, only to hit him somewhere that you really didn't want to be hit. There went his plans to have children he thought as he fell to his knees. Through the pain, he managed to look up to see the tall, dark haired girl that launched the ball at him. "What's your problem?" He yelled as he struggled to get back to his feet.

Tori turned to look at him raising a brow. She really should apologize, seeing as she hadn't meant to hit him, and under normal circumstances she would. Unfortunately, today she was feeling sour enough not to. "You threw it at me first! And I didn't even kick it that hard..." Of course, she often misjudged her own strength.

"Well... I excel at insulting pretty girls unintentionally and having to put my foot in mouth... Which I'm surprised I haven't done yet." he smirked and blinked a couple times before fully realising what he said. His face reddened "Not that I think you're pretty! No... I mean you are but... Finally, she caught on. Her face reddened and she felt rather stupid, but she tried to act as if she was playing along the all along. "So you really like picking up pocketbooks for girls then? You're like a superhero!" And that was a lame thing to say. Lame. Lame. Lame.

May fought her hardest to keep her amused smile in check. "Oh, no, that's fine! Thanks for the compliment..." she trailed off. Wait, was her thanking him for the compliment making it more awkward? Was that even a compliment? "...or not?" No, that was definitely worse.

She shook her head, then mentally chastised herself for messing up her hair even more. "No, you know what? We could play this game I like to call 'Let's pretend the last two minutes didn't happen'. I'm... unfortunately, very good at this game."

"I'm... I'm bad at this game. I apologize if I'm an idiot for the remainder of this conversation..."

Dilyn smiled widely. "Oh, wow, you really think so?"

"Yes.. I think so"

She tucked her hair behind her ear awkwardly, regretting doing so because she no longer had something to hide behind. "...You're welcome"

"You're not an idiot," she assured him, waving her hand nonchalantly. "Believe me, I've done worse. Like, once, I ranted to a guy about my period for almost a whole hour before he admitted he was very uncomfortable and I think he's moved to the other side of the country now, or avoiding me." She cringed. "And now I've brought it up again. Great."

Oh god... Periods... Cedric didn't even understand those. He just knew they were like scary and bloody and stuff. "Well... I've accidentally called women fat without realising it... Word to the wise: never follow Wally's dating advice."

"Yeah, I mean no offence to Wally, but I think that's a warning that should come with the friendship package before, that is, one starts to believe saying 'I lost my phone number... can I have yours?' to complete strangers is acceptable." She started laughing. "I didn't even say it properly, now that I think back at it. I'm pretty sure I said something like 'I don't have a phone. So I want yours, like, your number?'"

Ced laughed "regardless they're still equally as bad... Especially when he insists I use one. The only time I've been slapped in my life was because of one of those!... Maybe they should make the warning a little bigger?"

Ken sighed. "Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout, or for the ball to hit you, I've just...not had the best of the days today, I thought a game of basketball would help but apparently not" Ken looked down before looking back up at the girl. "Are you okay?"

"Tell me about it" she sighed "and me? I'm just peachy... I love it when my friends ditch me"

"Oh, believe me I know the feeling, I was supposed to be meeting them here for a game of basketball and ended up playing on my own against a bunch of strangers" Ken said as he finally managed to stand up. "So, any reason they left you, or was it just out of the blue?" He asked before sitting down on the bench that was next to the girl.

"They wanted to go shopping... And apparently they'd decided I didn't want to go before they even bothered to ask"

May laughed, gesturing with her hands as if she was scrolling over a title. "'Warning-- Flirting function defection. Please do not use the pick up lines if you value your life and facial structure.'. Wally can be really convincing, though. He actually made it seem like a good idea back then."

(To when they get Kelti home and sit on her patio and look through stuff?

"Woah, harsh" Ken turned to the girl "And you wanted to go? How come they just dismissed you like that?" He said as he leaned forward, intrigued in conversation.

"well... If you can't trust your best friend, who can you trust for advice? Ya know?... Sometimes... On a very rare occasion, it's actually good"

The two soon arrived at Kelti's house. It was a large house, several stories tall, with a fence around it. The grass was perfectly cut, and the garden was perfectly tended to. "this is it" she smiled.

"They didn't even ask if I wanted to go... They just decided to and left. I like shopping as much as the next girl, I just don't because I never get invited...."
then she added, muttering under her breath: "It's probably because I could break either of them in half"

"Some friends they are" Ken said before looking down. For a minute there was a small silence when, all of a sudden, he got an idea "Hey, I was going to head to the mall after this, why don't you come with me? After all, there's nothing worst than walking around the mall on your own" He gave her a friendly smile before getting up from the bench and holding his hand out to the girl. "So, what do you say?"

Dilyn dropped his handle, and his eyes widen. He looked up at the house-the mansion?!-in awe. "...You live..here?"

Tori thought for a moment and tilted her head to the side "I say I shouldn't go to the mall with anyone unless I at least know their name" she smirked.

She rubbed her arm, a bit uncomfortable by his reaction... Her house wasn't that nice... She'd seen nicer... "Yep, this is home. Uh- we can put the box on the front deck if you'd like... Maybe look at the stuff now?"

"Yeah..sure just-I-Kelti, tell me you're secretly a superhero because this house looks like it could belong to one!!" He smiled widely. "Holy cow!! This place is huuuuuge!!"
