YJ Roleplay 1

Victoria frowned, tapping her wristwatch with her nails, repeatedly. She didn’t even want to be here, if she was honest with herself, but it wasn’t like she had a choice. It was either the hero factory, or the graveyard. And today, stranded in some base located God knows where, she was supposed to meet her team.

She looked around and did a quick mental scan—these were the people she had to get accustomed to and work with. As a team.

Her whole life, Victoria wasn’t a team player. Or even a particularly friendly person. Which is why, she decided to fold her arms and lean against the wall, simply pretending to be ignoring them because she did not care. And if she did, they wouldn’t be the ones to know.

They were all a bunch of bloody superhero enthusiasts after all.

Raine slowly ran the tube of lipstick along her lips, pouting at the mirror. This was the fifth time she’d fixed her lipstick, because she kept smudging it from pressing her lips together so often. But how couldn’t she? When you heard the word ‘superheroes’ you thought of amazing, influential overall celebrities.

She regarded the ‘team’ out of her peripheral vision. They wouldn't even make the cut for sidekicks, in her opinion.

Raine would admit her power wasn’t anything extraordinary, but she had the smarts and the looks to compensate for it.

She finally pocketed her compact, and decided instead to pick at her nails.

Ranide sat as far away from the others as he possibly could, his head down whilst he twiddled his thumbs nervously. No matter how many times he told himself "these guys are just like you, there's nothing to be afraid of", he was just unable to pluck up the courage to talk to any of them. He knew in his head that them all having something in common with him should have made it so much easier, but, for whatever reason, Randie found it all the more frightening. Was it that they were all super-powered strangers that couldn't guarantee he was safe around? Or was it that, all of sudden, everyone seemed to have the one thing that Randie thought made him unique? No matter how much he thought, he was just unable to get his head around it.

Eventually, he decided to lift his head and look around at the room that he would soon call his headquaters, his home, and the people that he would come to know as his team mates. Amongst everyone else, one girl in particular caught his eye-she had pale skin, long, dark hair and beautiful, blue eyes; she really was gorgeous. However, there was something about her that was so much more..intimidating than the rest of the team. He knew there and then that he would find it exceedingly difficult to talk to her and, upon realisation of this, put his head back down in shame.

"Well isn't this a sad bunch" Annabelle thought to herself. These people weren't even close to the spectacular Justice League that was all over the news, day in, day out. She was excited to finally get a mentor, hopefully she'd get one, but if she'd have to share with one of these guys, it might not be as perfect as she had imagined. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, whistling a happy melody as the took a look around the room. There wasn't many, but enough to found a small team. But if that team was a bunch of ass-suckers, she'd rather be home following the big fights on TV instead of getting her arse whipped in the field.

Chris was just leaning on a wall, looking around at all the other heroes in the room.

"These so called heroes, none of them are....just lies..." Chris says to himself, "There are no more heroes, only ones who use their powers for there own good."
