The side of Diyln's face was smooshed against one of the tables around Booster Blend, pretty much passed out judging by the small pool of droll forming under his mouth. He honestly had no idea what he was doing here two hours before his shift at The Comic Center () at the mall. Oh yeah, because your friends asked you to and you're such a good and loyal pal. He bought a large coffee at a Starbucks before heading over, hoping it'd keep him awake, but it failed miserably, and the cup was still clenched in his hand, all gross and cold and the sugar was probably all the way at the bottom and blugh. Gross. He hoped and prayed that Carter wouldn't come about to wake him...like always.

Weisis was behind the counter in her ridiculous, brightly pinned striped uniform and visor. She was currently blending an assortment of smoothies and pouring them into the tiny sample glasses. It had been slow today, so the sole thing she had to do was yell at Carter... Many times. It had gotten to the point where she was actually looking forward to the mother daughter shopping trip... Those were usually horrifically embarrassing.

Wally was in a chipper mood as he strolled through the food court and spotted Dilyn sitting alone... Or maybe he was sleeping. It didn't matter. Once he got close enough, Wally pulled out a chair and plopped down "mind if I sleep with you?" He grinned completely oblivious to the fact that it sounded like he was propositioning his friend.

May hummed a cheery beat to herself as she pranced around the mall. It was too early to go to work, of course, but never too early for a morning smoothie with a slice of friends. She finally came across Booster Blend, where she noticed two familiar figures sitting at one of the tables. Smiling, she plopped down into a chair at the same table.

"Good mor-ning!" she started, in a sing-song voice, in an all-too-good disposition for such an early hour.

Carter had busied himself with organizing whatever there was left to be organized and arranged up until now, since there weren't so many clients this early. That, and it gave him an excuse to criticize and redo everything Weisis had done just to piss her off. He cringed, however, when he heard a familiar quip. He sneaked a glance at the tables and, sure enough, they were at it again.

He swore to God that if neither of them ordered a smoothie, he would grab a broom and chase them away. (And then deny to have ever done that, if his boss asked)

His eyes opened a bit as his friends began to pile in one by one. He whined a little before lifting his head, just a little, and took a sip of his coffee. "May..please..shhhhhhhh..." Diyln loved May, he really truely did, but she terrified him when she was happy at such an early hour.

May cringed. She should really start being more considerate in the mornings, she scolded herself.

"Sorry," then she lowered her voice to a whisper: "Good morning," she wiggled her fingers for emphasis.

She couldn't help it, really! She felt very excited today, for some reason.

He yawned and rubbed his eyes with one hand, and wiggled his fingers back at her. "Morninnnng...why are you two so chipper? It's too early for that.."

May grinned and clapped her hands together in excitement.

"Well," she drawled, taking two small bags from her bag. "First, I baked chocolate chip cookies, and I've brought some for you two," she pushed one small, ribbon-tied bag to both of her friends. "Second, I'm thinking of taking up dance lessons," by now, her voice was rising and her hands were shaking with excitement. "And third, tomorrow I totally have a hot date!"

She squealed the last part out loud, before slapping her hands to her mouth. Oops. But, really, May's love life or lack thereof had been the most pathetic thing since... well, a long while ago. It was huge news. Ginormous news.

Diyln, by this time, was probably stuffing his face with May's cookies. He would never admit, but damn did the girl know how to bake or what?! "Hot date, you say?" He said, his mouth full. "Who's the lucky mister?"

May giggled, looking up distantly at the ceiling.

"He's... y'know..." she started playing with her fingers,"...a guy." After an awkward silence, she sighed. "We met on the internet yesterday," then suddenly stuck her finger up in the air. "But! Before you say anything, I have a really good feeling about this."

She nodded to herself. Really good feeling.

Diyln groaned softly. "May.." He began.

"Look, I really think it'll work out this time!" she exclaimed, still wringing her hands. "He seems like a really nice guy with a really nice face. That's all."

"Oooh May, you sly fox you~ Your internet milkshake's gonna bring all the boys to your chat." Wally smirked, leaning back in his chair. It was only a matter of time before he toppled over, like usual.

Weisis, who was still ignoring everything carter was doing to the best of her abilities, just finished the last of the samples. She stepped back with a sigh and grabbed the smoothie pitchers to put in the sink and wash them.

Dilyn groaned, and waved his hand at Wally, a sign to tell him to cut it out. "But you've never even met him in real life! He could be like a rapist! O-or a kidnapper!"

May blinked twice, furrowing her eyebrows before looking at Wally. What?

"Come again?" she asked, confused. "What does milkshake have to do with this?"

Was he insinuating the guy wanted to date her only to get her milkshake recipe or what?

She shook her head.

"Anyway, he's not a bad person," she scoffed. "I'm not that bad of a character judge, you know."

His coworker was doing something. Carter wasn't sure what she was doing, didn't care enough to look at what she was doing, but automatically said: "You're doing that wrong."

"No, you know that milkshake... In the song? It brings all the boys to the yard and damn right it's better than yours. You could teach people, but you'd have to charge?"

"Like you'd know. I've never seen you touch a dish since I started working here."

May tilted her head. "...The song. Oh that so," she trailed off the o before gasping, scandalized, and weakly smacked Wally across the shoulder. "Wally! That is so inappropriate."

She couldn't help but laugh, anyway.

Carter scowled, turning to look at her.

"I've touched plenty of dishes, thank you," he huffed. "Just because you weren't here to see it, doesn't mean I haven't. On other hand, I've never seen you do something properly since I started working here."

Dilyn paused his panicking for a while before laughing at May. "..May, babe..have you neve thought about what that song meant?"

May pouted. "Well, I've never had a reason to, before. I don't just randomly think about things and what they mean on a daily basis, you know."

She totally did.

The smack in the shoulder was enough to cause Wally to lose his balance and fall to the ground. "Gaaah"

His scream was heard from the other side of the food court, where Hannah firmly locked her gaze on him. Then she walked over. "Wally, I need you to drive me home. Mom's with a client."

"I trained you, moron."

May winced when Wally hit the floor, extending her hand to help him up.

"I'm so sorry, Wally. Honestly."

He scoffed. "Psh, yeah right. I ended up training myself because you were doing such a bad job with it."

"It's'okay... I'm okay" He blinked a couple times before spotting his little sister towering over him. "Oh hey, Hannah Banana! No can do, I work soon, you'll have to wait until I'm off"

Hannah groaned "What am I supposed to do here in the meantime... And DON'T call me that if you value any of your limbs"

"Is that why I had to stay late and clean last shift when you left at seven?"

May smiled. "Oh, Wally, is this you little sister?" She grinned, reaching out inside her bag to grab another small bag of chocolate chip cookies. She turned towards Hannah and extended the bag. "Hi! I'm May. Do you like chocolate chip? I made extras." She shook the bag enthusiastically in her direction.

He glared at her. "I had...something to do. Definitely more important than staying here and fixing the stuff you screw up."

A dentist's appointment, actually, but he'd already decided he was never going to brag about having needed braces. Ever.

Dilyn, now useless in the conversation, sat back and watched everyone.

Hannah stared at the cookie for a long time, her unimpressed expression remaining. "...No..."

Wally scrambled back into his chair "Oh come on, Hannah, they're good! Right Dilyn?"

She looked over at him and then threw the dish cloth at him. "Fine. You do all the work then. Show me how it's done. I'll just sit back here, doing nothing because I'm so incompetent."
