"Joy." She leaned back, and rested her head on his pillow. "Be gentle, will ya, friend?"

"I'll try," he folded the wipe over several times, then started dabbing at the cuts.

Damaris let out a small squeak, her leg twitching back as a reflex. "Ow.."

He looked up, "I'm sorry... I told you it'd hurt." He turned his attention back to the cuts and continued cleaning them, slower and more carefully now. "... I know it isn't my place to say, but you've got to stop this."

She frowned. "It's not like I can wave a magic one, or wish upon a shooting star..."

"I know... Believe me, I know." Leo had scars of his own, not that he'd ever admit to it. "But, there has to be some other outlet... You have nice legs. If you were my type, I'd be all over you"

Damaris let out a small burst of laughter. "Oh yeah. Like you'd be all over some fat chick."

"You aren't fat; you're curvy. All Italian men love curvy women; haven't you ever seen my mother? My brother's wife?"

"They actually have curvs. I'm all fat and stuff."

"No you're not~"

"Toooooootally am."

"No you're not~"

"Leo, I will fight you, you know~"

"I won't fight you~ I couldn't bring myself to muss up your pretty face~"

She felt her face flush slightly as she smiled. She wouldn't admit it, but she liked when when Leo told her nice things, like that she had a pretty face and nice legs. "My face isn't pretty."

"Yes it is~ You look a lot like that one girl on the show about the fashion designer"

Damaris shrugged. "I guess..I wish other boys thought the same way..."

"Meh, they're all colossal assholes. No point in getting upset over them"

She shrugged. "..I think it'd be nice..."

"Well, trust me, someone out there thinks so. I know a couple girls think you're pretty~"

Helen, Salvatore, and Robbie were all heading to the library.

Salvatore was falling behind in Calculus, and desperately needed to put in a little extra study time. He didn't even get the chance to go check on Leo! He was in such a hurry to get to the library, in fact, that he ran straight into someone. Books went everywhere, and Sally's first instinct was to grab his things rather than make sure the poor soul he ran into was alright. "I'm sorry... Wasn't paying attention to where I was going." He started to reach for his Calc notebook...

Helen and Robbie, in the meantime, were just outside the library and Robbie was blushing and playing with her hair while she tried to make up an excuse as to why she wasn't in class earlier. "I-I had to help Manda with something... You know how she is."

"If she needed help with something, she would've asked me. She's my roommate"

"It was a history thing"

"Oh... Yeah, I can see why she'd want your help with that"

"I'm glad the girls think I'm pretty, but I'm kinda into boys, ya know?.."

"So you keep insisting~" He was finished cleaning up a cluster of cuts, and started looking for a bandage. "Heartbreaker"

"What? Me? No, never. I haven't been with anyone to break a heart."

"So you say~"
